FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS AN ENDLESS POOL?
Endless pools are ideal for honing swimming technique, as the continuous current allows for focused coaching and real-time adjustments. They also help swimmers improve endurance and stamina with steady, controlled resistance. The continuous current mimics natural water flow, offering a training experience that’s ideal for building endurance and preparing for open water events (especially in the winter months!). Our endless pool offers a tailored swimming experience, with adjustable speeds ranging from a beginner-friendly 3:00 per 100m to an elite pace of 54 seconds per 100m. Perfect for swimmers of all levels, the pool's wide speed range allows us to support everything from skill-building to high-intensity training. Additionally, endless pools are better for the environment, using significantly less water and fewer chemicals than traditional pools, making them an eco-friendly choice.
IS AN ENDLESS POOL SUITABLE FOR LEARNING TO SWIM OR JUST FOR EXPERIENED SWIMMERS?
An endless pool is suitable for all levels, from beginners learning to swim to experienced swimmers honing their skills. Endless pools offer adjustable currents - for beginners, the current can be set to a low speed, allowing them to gain comfort and confidence while still in control. This steady, adjustable current is excellent for working on technique and balance in a safe, contained environment. For experienced swimmers, the speed can be increased to challenge their endurance, improve stroke efficiency, or simulate open water conditions. The versatility of an endless pool means it can adapt to each swimmer's pace, making it a valuable tool for learning, training, and performance enhancement at every level.
WHICH LESSON SHOULD I CHOOSE?
30 minutes - ideal for building confidence in the water, learning to swim, or improving technique 60 minutes - a combination of technique work and swim sets to help develop strength, speed and stamina. If you can comfortably swim for 60 minutes (even with breaks), go for the endurance session. If 60 minutes feels tough, start with 30 minutes to refine your technique first.
